A Day In The Life

Obligatory “Welcome To My Blog” Blog Post

Well, here I am. It’s currently 2:58am and while some of you may be like umm ya that’s when I blog too, it’s not a normal occurrence for me to see the dark of night…morning…dusk? at this hour. I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and though rest is super great for growing a human, the tiny human inside me has decided today is not the day to sleep. I am on pee count #3 since 1:00am with no signs of it letting up any time soon.

I have never been this pregnant before. My first pregnancy, which resulted in my absolutely amazing and adorable son Tommy, ended a bit short when he decided to greet the world after cooking for only 33 weeks. It was a whirlwind of a day. While of course we knew we were going to meet him eventually, my husband and I were both SOOOOO not ready to meet him that day. We can talk more about Tommy’s crazy introduction into the world another time, it’s definitely a page turner, tons of gore and swears.

Don’t get me wrong, growing a tiny clone mixture of you and arguably one of your favorite people on the planet is super wonderful and I am so grateful and in love with the life growing inside of me…but this momma is T…I…R…E…D! I work full time outside of the home, run an Etsy side hustle, rarely visit the bathroom (speaking of which, pee break #4) alone between my toddler and butt-scratch loving Aussie, and try and squeeze in time to knit every chance I get. Oh, I also have a husband, we can talk about him later, this is a Welcome To MY Blog post after all.

So, like, why are we here right? The truth is, I like to think that my chaos filled balancing act that I have happily accepted as my life is pretty similar to other people out there. If you are reading this, you might be a momma trying to find the balance, or perhaps an entrepreneur trying to figure out how to fit it all in the day. I have been there…done that…all at once sometimes. There is such a need and desire for community within this online-driven world. People have lost their ability to connect with each other on a more deeper level and have become keyboard warriors saying things they would never dare say to someones face, let alone if their grandma were in the room.

Let’s get comfy here, pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee if you are into that sort of thing…ya, all those things I juggle up there^^ I do without divine coffee intervention.
